www.vladtv.com - Earlier this year Lil Mama released her new single, "Too Fly," which featured a verse that many people thought was a diss towards Nicki Minaj. "If I was born in Trini and I moved to the states/With all the rage, I would have got deported/I should punch you in your face for making me grandma/with all these sons and uncle grandpa's/And the stunts you be pulling like you bloody, bloody mad/'Til I smack you in the face while I'm writing these anthems." Lil Mama addressed the situation during an exclusive interview with VladTV, and she said that if fans perceived the verse as a diss, that's what it was. She added, "If they took it as a shot, it's a shot, because perception is reality. At the end of the day I'm not here to say, 'No, I didn't [diss Nicki],' it is what it is." During the conversation Lil Mama also humbly admitted that "when it comes to consistency, I've been lacking over the years." The New York native explained that she has dealt with a lot of difficult situations over the years, including her mother battling cancer, which slowed down her creative processes.
