Offset Says Quality Control Created 'The Dab' Back in 2013

submitted by Drop Studios on 06/18/16 1

The Dab has gone mainstream and particularly made its way onto daytime talk shows, NFL games, holiday apparel and even presidential campaigns. One of the members of the self-proclaimed originators of the popular dance move, Migos rapper, Offset explained how the dance came about and debunked Bow Wow's claims without adding controversy. "We use to just perform. The whole QCLA." He explained, "We was touring and every time on "Emmitt Smith," when the bass hit, we would drop," he told DJ Vlad as he hit the Dab. While claiming to have invented the move in 2013, he briefly addressed Bow Wow claiming the move originally started in California. "You know I'm not really with all the controversy. I guess it was just his opinion. We know where it came from—2013, you can check the footage." Check out the full interview above.
