Where Fairgrounds go to when they die. I've lived in Barry all of my life and am utterly sickened by the shameless neglect of our once beloved Pleasure Park. Lack of interest and severe lack of foresight has produced this sorry sight you see before you. The proposal is to level the area and build a cinema, bowling alley and entertainment complex. Why tourists would want to come to this town to visit that is utterly beyond me. I miss Butlins and I miss my Fairground.
