Best Beach holiday in Wales UK! Beautiful hidden secret beaches, Barafundle Bay Pembrokeshire

submitted by uklmhb on 05/31/16 1

This beautiful small but quiet white sand beach was found on our holiday trip to Tenby in Pembrokeshire Wales UK. Located near Stackpole Quay and part of the Stackpole Estate, managed by the The National Trust. There's no road access to the beach the only way to get to it is via the Pembrokeshire Coast Path either from Stackpole Quay (from the north) or from the Broad Haven South beach (from the south). Situated in a small cove, the sand is stunning pebble free with sparkling blue clear water, easily mistaken for the Mediterranean. It has to be one of the best untouched beaches in the UK if not the world. In 2004, Barafundle Bay was included in a list of the Top 12 beaches in the world. The Good Holiday Guide also said that it was the 'best beach in Britain'. In 2006, it was voted the best place in the United Kingdom for a picnic by Country Life magazine. This is a real hidden gem. A great location for sun bathing, relaxing and walking after a day hiking and climbing in the Welsh Hills.
