Irish Republicans from across Co.Tyrone turned out in large numbers for the annual Tyrone Volunteers' Day Commemoration. This year being the 40th anniversary of the deaths on active service of Óglaigh Seamus Harvey and Gerard McGlynn the commemoration was held in Castlederg where a memorial to the Volunteers' was unveiled and despite attempts by Unionists and sections of the media to raise tensions, the commemoration was held in a dignified way as befits the remembrance of fallen Irish Republican Army Volunteers.
