Vickings greet torch in lerwick, shetland islands. I was in lerwick when the torch arrived which was a bonus of my holiday on the islands and mainland scotland. The shetlands are closer to norway then scotland. It takes twelve hours to go to lerwick by ferry from aberdeen. twentyfive thousand people watched the torch go through the city which was pretty much half the population of the island..
