Me and my friend from Uni (Oliver Simpson) took our bikes on the train from London to Inverness Scotland. The plan was to cycle south along the Lochness. But as is so often the case plans have a habit of changing. We went into a bike shop and were advised to travel northwards to Ullapool. We took the advise 60miles and some few hours later we arrived to find a music festival alive and pumping in the small town/village of Ullapool. Being students we found a way to enter for free. The next morning we took the ferry to Stornoway. Managed to catch a glimpse of the northern lights there. We cycled through the outer hebrides to tarbert where we missed the morning ferry to the isle of sky. So we took a coach around the south of harris. Once we got to Uig we cycled around the northern part of The Isle of sky and then down to Portree. From Portree we rode and hitched part of the way on this guys bus as the wind was so strong we were having trouble cycling. Then we caught the train back to Inverness and then back on to London. Was a trip to remember!!!
