Scotland's Ancient Rock Art. This video is a photographic compilation of ancient rock art sites in Scotland, from Dumfries & Galloway to Argyle & Bute. These carvings commonly known as cup and ring markings are thought to be from the Neolithic, 5000 years ago. There meaning is unknown, it is not uncommon to find cup marks (carved out depressions) on stone circles or standing stones.
