Edin's Hall Broch, Scottish Borders

submitted by uklmhb on 05/24/16 1

A day out walking in the Scottish Borders. Edin's Hall Broch (also Edinshall Broch; Odin's Hall Broch) is a 2nd-century broch near Duns in the Borders. A broch is an Iron Age drystone hollow-walled structure found only in Scotland. This one is believed to have been constructed between the two Roman occupations of southern Scotland, on the site of a much earlier fort. A peaceful place echoing with history.
