History of Pavilion Gardens' Paxton Suite and Buxton - The New Pavilion Arts Centre, Buxton

submitted by uklmhb on 05/23/16 1

Formally known as the Paxton Suite, the new Pavilion Arts Centre at Pavilion Gardens opened in September 2010 following a £2.5 million refurbishment project funded by High Peak Borough Council, High Peak Theatre Trust, DDEP and the Arts Council England. This multi-purpose function, conference, presentation and theatre space offers state of the art facilities, full technical support and excellent service. Since 2011 the Pavilion Arts Centre has also been the home of Buxton Festival and the Gilbert & Sullivan Festival with Buxton Opera House. The history of the Pavilion Arts Centre and Buxton in general is captured beautifully in this short presentation.
