This film is part of the Derbyshire Museum Archive, cared for by Derbyshire County Council: Buxton Museum and Art Gallery. It has been through various incarnations but has now been digitised to make it more accessible to the public, as part of the Collections in the Landscape project. There isn't much information to accompany this film; no audio, no date, etc. However, rope-making in Peak Cavern (or The Devil's Arse) in Castleton was a well-known occupation and this is rather a candid demonstration.
