The Monsal Trail runs through part of the Peak District National Park Derbyshire. The trail is part of the former Midland Railway ( 1863-1968). The line was closed in 1968 but after reopening all the tunnels the trail can be used for recreation. Cycling, walking etc. From Bakewell the trail passes Hassop Station, Longstone Station Cressbrook Mill Litton Mill Millers Dale finishing at Blackwell Mill . Covering a distance of about 8.5 Miles.
