London Midland Desiro rolls over the River Nene and down into Northampton on 30th December 2008. Northampton Station is now served by an hourly service to Crewe provided by London Midland. This service runs up the Trent Valley and with a day return to Liverpool for £15.00 represents rail travel as it should be.
