One of the surprises of 1967 was this father/daughter duet, and one of the most memorable romantic hits of all time. The hauntingly beautiful piece was "Somethin' Stupid" and the duet was sung by Frank Sinatra and daughter Nancy. At this same time, April 1967, Nancy Sinatra also had a solo hit riding the Top 30 called "Love Eyes" .. another beautiful song, but eclipsed by this most famous duet song of the 1960s (besides the songs of Sonny & Cher). I often heard this haunting melody on the radio (and "Love Eyes" too) before going to bed on school nights when I was 13, lulled to sleep and dreamland by early adolescent fantasies of romance. This music video is a somewhat more mature approach (I hope) ... and also dedicated to two lovely ladies that appear in it who are no longer with us, Audrey Hepburn and Romy Schneider. "Somethin' Stupid" by Nancy Sinatra & Frank Sinatra reached #1 on Billboard for four weeks from April 15, 1967 through May 12, 1967, and spent one week on Cash Box at #1 on April 15-21, 1967.
