If your SketchUp model includes Dynamic Components, you can quickly generate a report that includes the Dynamic Component attributes of the products used in your design. To do this, select the products for your report and then choose Generate Report from the File Menu. The Generate Report function is a helpful way to gather and export information about the real-world products in your design to HTML or CSV format. You can see too that there's an option to export attributes from ALL of the components in the model, but in this case we'll focus on just those cabinets which have been pre-selected and choose the CSV export format. Once a report has been saved, you can then open and edit the report in a spreadsheet application such as Microsoft Excel, Google Spreadsheets, or in this case, Mac Numbers. As you can see, SketchUp exports ALL of the attributes from the selected components. Often times, the most relevant information for a project can be found by first establishing a header row, and then sorting the Level column in ascending order. Many of the rows below Level 1, can either be hidden or removed in order to narrow the information to specifically that which you are interested in using. The same is true for many of the columns. After a few short minutes, your spreadsheets are then ready to be printed or copy/pasted into project documentation software such as Google Layout.
