The MendelMax 3 3D printer is an incredible machine at an affordable price. I'm very impressed with the quality of the components, and the resulting precision of each axis. The prints from this machine are nearly flawless, with minimal to no warping. The trade off is you have to assemble the printer yourself. It arrives as a kit, and it is a challenging build if you're not mechanically inclined. But I dove into the project with enthusiasm, and really enjoyed the challenge and felt rewarded as I powered up the machine for my first print. You also won't find many bells and whistles on the printer, but since it is an open source design, there are many affordable upgrades available if you desire to have them. All in all, this is a very high quality printer that I'd recommend to anyone up for the challenge of building one.
