This video was shot in Israel, just 5 miles from the Syrian border, and it features a breathtaking view overlooking Lake Kinneret. This is not the Israel being sold to you on the nightly news. During Yishai Fleisher's trip up north with Malkah and family for Rosh HaShanah they took a moment to give us a look at the amazing images they were experiencing and Yishai explores what it really means for the Jewish people. The location is specifically, Kfar Haruv, an Israeli kibbutz in the southern Golan Heights. The Golan Heights is an area of Israel that Syria controlled before 1967 and used it to snipe at Jewish villages below the heights. A member of the Kibbutz Movement, Kfar Haruv, falls under the jurisdiction of Golan Regional Council.
