I've wanted a Ducati Motorcycle from the day the very first 916 was released. I absolutely fell in love with that iconic piece of design. And even though I've had a number of different makes and models of motorcycle I've never owned one of these Italian beauties. The reason for that is down to hearsay and rumour. The perpetuated notion that Ducatis were unreliable. Maybe that was true, maybe it wasn't, but either way it made me shy away from buying...until now. I noticed that my bike purchasing of late had become a little, for want of a better word, sensible. And this year, 2016, I was planing on changing bikes again, and again I found myself weighing up just what I needed from a bike, instead of what I wanted. Choosing with my head instead of my heart. Bikes aren't about practicality, they're about balls-out fun and good times! Posing and feeling damn good because your bike is the best on the street! I wanted to get back to that. And by sheer coincidence or maybe even fate, I stumbled across a bike I'd never noticed before, in less than a blink my mind was made up, or rather my heart was. And here she is, a gorgeous Ducati Streetfighter 848, Brandi. I decided to take the plunge and see for myself if those negative rumours were true, and since I'm already a MotoVlogger I decided to let you in on what I discover by documenting everything in this series of videos. Welcome to Ducati Diaries. All the best.
