Indoor Training Guide - How To Use GCN's Cycling Training Videos

submitted by Team World2Cycle on 03/15/16 1

Indoor cycle training with GCN uses some on-screen info - here's what it all means Follow GCN on YouTube: gcn.eu/gcnsubs We show you how much effort you should be putting in to your training on the right of the screen, from 1 - 6, or from easy to absolutely flat out. We also use three positions in our training sessions: in the saddle, standing with fingertips on the bars and out of the saddle leaning forwards. There's an effort clock that counts down, showing you how many seconds you have left at the effort level you should be putting in before going baack to your tempo pace. We use a couple of different sounds to let you know when efforts start and end as we know you may not always look at the screen! We haven't given guides on cadence, as not everyone has cadence sensors, but the effort meter allows you to decide if you need to increase the resistance you're feeling. If we're telling you to push hard and you're spinning your legs super-fast, increase the resistance! Above all, enjoy the sessions, and as with any strenuous exercise, you should consult a doctor/physician before beginning a programme of exercise. Discontinue your exercise session immediately if you experience any pain, dizziness or discomfort. Partaking in training sessions following GCN's video instruction is entirely at your own risk, and Global Cycling Network can not be held responsible for any injuries which may occur as a result of these exercises.
