In sieben Tagesetappen starteten die Teilnehmer per Zweierteams von Sonthofen/Deutschland über 886,12 Kilometer, 21 Alpenpässe und 19.152 Höhenmeter nach Imst/Österreich, Davos/Schweiz und durch Italien nach Livigno, Aprica, Klatern und Trento bis nach Arco in der Nähe des Gardasees. In seven daily stages, the participants started in teams of two from Sonthofen / Germany over 886.12 km, 21 Alpine passes and 19,152 meters of altitude to Imst / Austria, Davos / Switzerland and Italy to Livigno, Aprica, Klatern and Trento up to Arco near Lake Garda.
