By drawing a parallel between the recent history of some African countries and the ups and downs of a relationship I have attempted to take a romantic look at the African political history following the wave of independences. Throughout the film the political speeches which punctuate the narration take us through 50 years of history. 50 years of setbacks, disillusion and frustration some will argue; 50 years of regaining, building and learning others will reply. However 50 years which will necessarily be the cornerstone for Africa´s future. This film is a message of hope sent out to whole Africa.
