Around fourteen miles of walking through ancient lands; starting at Salisbury, the walker heads North to Old Sarum, for some splendid views of the surrounding countryside.Thereafter, the route flits around The Avon and passes through some lovely countryside, with views of Sting's country retreat. Soon, Stonehenge comes into view, whereupon this walker diverts off to Amesbury for the return to Salisbury.
