Early morning FPV in Northern Sweden Luleå Go Pro Hero 3 Fatshark video tx

The location is one of my favorite spots to fly on. Not to far from LTU. It is a lake with very beutiful scenery around it. Not very accessible to people so noone to piss off which is perfekt since i prefer flying in solitude. I like the green grass and trees surrounding the lake. The full HD footage is awsome. Altough the resulotion is crappy when looking through the goggels so i have to enjoy the footage later. About my setup: Stock phantom 1.1.1 about a month old with go pro hero 3+ silver edition and 1080 60 fps setting and and medium view angle setting (better for fpv than full retard 280 degree view or what ever the go pro fisheye originaly shows). Today i went over the wires for the video tx from the go pro hero 3+ this is the footage from my "maiden" with the new wiring. Im using the video output from the go pro and i connect it directly to the video tx using a usb to video output cable from hobbyking. Yesterday i got lots of static and video cut out before even flying 100 m. Today there was no signs of static. I think the wiring is probably the cause of most problems when it comes to interference on the phantom. None of the wires i have are shielded. It is just servo leads. What i did was to roll the excess wire up and flatten the rolls and tape them snuggly so the wires just look "thicker" there is no loops in the wires. The noise is gone now. I also use the internal battery on the gopro i dont feed it from the phantom. The video tx is powerd directly from the phantoms stock battery. I get about 8 minutes of light time with 30% left on the stock battery. I use the filter and power supply unit that comes with the fatshark video tx. I route the balance plug cable out of the battery hatch and attach the video tx power plug to that. Works perfekt. Altough i must admit that the phantom has the most retarded battery hatch ever. Since the batterytime is so short you dont want to waste any of it fiddling with the battery and cables. That is how ever exactly what you have to do. Every time. Every time... So for this i want a solution. Perhaps another battery hatch allowing the cables to hang freely outside. That is atleast what im thinking of doing. Perhaps i will just remove the hatch and put a velcro battery strap to cover opening where the hatch sits now. That would make it much easier to change battery and it would swallow other batteries also. Bigger ones giving more flight time. hnmm
