Budva, Montenegro

submitted by europelmbh on 03/11/16 1

17th - 19th July Budva is an overdeveloped resort. The walls of the old town are covered with advertisements and the beach is covered with sun baking bodies and beach umbrellas advertising CocaCola. Our guesthouse, though quite nice, was impossible to find as there are no street signs and even the locals don't know the names of streets. Fortunately a kind man, after failing to stop a taxi for us, walked us all the way to the guesthouse, which we were able to recognise by the picture on our booking sheet. No name and no number! There was some nice scenery but we much prefer where we are now - Soline, near Dubrovnik, with unspoilt beaches and hills.
