"Macedonia half a century ago" is a documentary series about constitution of Macedonia state after the World War II. This is the story about the struggle of Macedonian people for their own independent state as part of Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The story is following the key Macedonian political figures and their efforts to rebuild the war devastated country. Film speaks about the civil war in Greece where Macedonians were fighting on the side of the Greek , all over the world. One part of the story is also the problem with the Macedonian minority in Bulgaria after the WW II. At first Bulgaria recognize the Macedonian minority in Bulgaria and allow them wide autonomy, few year after policy has changed, and good relations between leaders Tito and Dimitrov have strained influenced by the Soviet Union and the Macedonians lost their autonomy within Bulgaria and the neighboring state ceased to recognize the Macedonian nation, a condition that lasts even today in current Bulgarian politics. The first episode is about the constitution of the state, first Macedonian Government and the reconstruction of Macedonia.
