Expansionism Towards Greece Is "No Problem" For The FYROM*

Excerpt from the 25th of May 2012 show “Macedonia - Mother of the World”, hosted by Ljupčo Krstevski (pseudonym "Dardan Venetski") on the *Former YugoSLAV Republic of "Makedonija's" (©) TV Sun channel. Please, press "SHOW MORE": TV show host's affirmation (quote): "This piece of land [the map of the imaginary 'United (ethnic) Macedonia'='Vardar'+'Aegean'+'Pirin'] was always called Macedonia." Scientific reply: That's a lie! The TRUTH is that the original territory of the ancient Kingdom of Macedon, of which most prominent kings were Philip II and his son, Alexander III the Great, lies almost completely inside the borders of northern modern Greece, corresponding to that of "Aegean Macedonia", a name with expansionist connotations used by the FYRo'M' Slavs to allude that there would also necessary have to be other "parts of Macedonia", respectively "Vardar" = the FYRo'M' and "Pirin" = the Blagoevgrad province in Bulgaria. The nowadays FYRo'M' lies on the territory of the ancient Kingdom of Paeonia, which was conquered by the Macedonians during their campaign that created the large Euro-Asiatic empire as far as India. The territory of the nowadays Turkey was also conquered by the same Macedonians, but nobody has heard of any "Anatolian Macedonia" allegedly part of an "Ethnic Macedonia". The territory of the historical region of Macedonia got an extended definition, more or less coinciding with the one used by the FYRo'M' Slavs, only after the Roman conquest of the area, as it was in the power of the conquerors to administratively organize their empire the way they wished to. Going further in time, during the Byzantine empire's era the territory of the theme of Macedonia was corresponding to that of the province of Thrace in northern modern Greece, while during the Ottoman empire's era there was no vilayet with the name of Macedonia. Vocabulary: theme [Byzantine Greek], vilayet [Ottoman Turkish] = administrative unit(s) Briefing: The FYRo'M' (previously "Vardar Banovina") promotes the expansionist concept of a "United Macedonia" among its nationalists of a native Slavic culture, which involves territorial claims on the province of Macedonia proper in northern Greece they call "Aegean Macedonia", but also on the Blagoevgrad province in Bulgaria ("Pirin Macedonia"), in Serbia and Albania. The "United Macedonia" concept aims to unify a transnational region in the Balkans, which the FYRo'M' nationalists claim as their homeland and which they assert was wrongfully divided under the Treaty of Bucharest in 1913 (parts of it allegedly being now "under occupation"), into a single state under Slavic domination, with the Greek city of Thessaloniki (or "Solun", in their Slavic language) as its capital. The term “Aegean Macedonia” is also used in Bulgaria as the more common synonym for the Greek province of Macedonia, but ordinarily without the expansionist connotation it has in the FYRo'M'. Show promoting expansionism aired on FYRo'M's public TV channel: play.mrt.com.mk/channel/377 (notice the expansionist map of the imaginary "United Macedonia" displayed during the intro) Subtitles provided by Vladislav Perunović from Skopje, the FYRo'M' GREECE ELLAS ELLADA MACEDONIA MAKEDONIA ALEXANDER PHILIP ALEKSANDROS ALEKSANDAR
