(Army of the Republic of Macedonia) was formed following Macedonia's independence from Yugoslavia in 1991. The ARM began with nothing, as the Yugoslav army withdrew taking every last piece of equipment, even the electrical outlets from the military barracks, in a sign of dissatisfaction with Macedonia's independence. The ARM has come a long way in developing itself into a modern, and internationally respected force that is fully capable of protecting Macedonia from internal or external threats, and has proven itself very capable in international peacekeeping missions. The ARM consists of ground forces, an air and air defense force, and Lake detachment. The ARM and it's soldiers are the pride of the Macedonian people!
