KOSOVO: NATO TROOPS CONTINUE TO ARRIVE AT PRISTINA

submitted by europelmbh on 03/10/16 1

English/Nat British paratroopers, delayed from setting up base at Pristina airport by the debacle over Russian troops, are waiting on the outskirts of the capital. As the paratroopers checked their guns and ammunition, Serb tanks rolled through the temporary staging area in the village of Majura. Serb soldiers eyed the British soldiers warily - but their presence in the village prompted Romany families to use the KFOR cover of protection to pack and move out. Meanwhile a huge convoy of Italian tanks, armoured personel carriers and other military vehicles rolled along the road towards Pristina. The Italians will control a sector of western Kosovo based in Pec.
