In the summer of 1990, City embarked on a pre-season tour to Bulgaria, recently liberated after collapse of Communism in Eastern Europe.The trip was instigated by former chairman Don Robinson and City set off with John Helm and a camera crew in tow. A Kick in the Balkans documented the trip.
