Portugal is a beautiful diverse country, friendly people, 300 walled cities, interesting history including that of the sea explorers, great wines, foods and vineyards, excellent highway system and more. We took a 12 day escorted tour and then stayed at a time-share resort on the Coast north of Lisbon where we further explored the countryside, small towns and played some golf. Portugal is on the Euro and we found less expensive than other European Countries and just as or more interesting. We highly recommend a trip to Portugal!
