If you're looking to stay away from crowded areas, make sure to visit Lagos, where you can go kayaking and discover amazing caves and enjoy the blue water. Praia da Falesia is also another really beautiful area with crystal clear waters, cliffs and white sands. Albufeira is alright too, but it's a much more touristic area, where you can find your normal crowd of party-seeking foreigners. I recommend you try the sardines!
