In April 2012, four of us met in Toulouse and after two nights there, went by train to Carcassonne where two friends met us and took us to their cottage in Lacombe (a small hamlet outside Lastours). Using this as a base we visited many historical sites and wineries in the Western Languedoc. Of particular interest were the four Cathar castles at Lastours.
