This gem of a medieval stone village lies between Monaco and Nice. Tucked away in time, between Monaco and Nice, is the beautiful Eze Village, about 500 meters over the sea. Called the Eagle's Nest, Eze is one of the most beautiful stone villages of France. The village has only one entrance, part of a 14 century doorway. The first thing you notice when you enter Eze is that there are rocks everywhere. In fact, the first settlers selected this place, because rocks could protect their livestocks. Remember to bring appropriate footwear when you come here. You will have to work a bit. Eze is a suitable place to slow down a bit, and stroll through the slender streets. Seat yourself at one of the many small cafes. Or better, appreciate art at one of the many art galleries. The whole area begs to be photographed over and over again. Rising above the houses and cafes, is the White Penitents chapel and bell tower. The village has a few hotels and restaurants, since it is very popular among summer tourists. Chateau Eza, which was built about 400 years ago, and was the residence of the Sweden's Prince William in the past. I am Giulio Frizzi, showing you Eze Village.
