Photography is all about reflecting on what you see beyond the frame. Martin's Wijdeman's work as a full-time photographer for the Dutch national heritage museum has been worldly published. During the last three decades he composed the image of the museum indirectly attracting millions of visitors to Arnhem through his photographs. We met occasionally on the grounds of the wide open air museum district. I always envied him with just his camera around the neck while I would be scrawling along with heavy gear on my back...Anyhow after 23 years of photography, Martin retired. I visited him in his studio as he was preparing the illustrations for the next year of 2012 museum guide. As he mentioned: "It feels like ruling on your own death, I won't be there to see it published..!" In this digital era, Martin's job ends there. In that matter he was probably one of the last Dutch photographers on a pay-roll. Thanks Martin for your kind patience and for submitting on the other side of my SONY PMW-EX1R lens. Enjoy the sailing! Sacha Barraud
