Devrim Dumludag, Özge Gökdemir and Marteen Vendrik from Maastricht University are studying the happiness of Turkish immigrants in the Netherlands. Although the Netherlands is one of the happiest countries in the world, Turkish immigrants are the least happy group in the Netherlands. The issue becomes interesting as economic theory argues that economic wellbeing brings happiness as well. Certainly this is not the case for Turkish immigrants which are doing well in economic terms. Why are Turkish immigrants the least happy minority group in the Netherlands? We zijn gespecialiseerd in het creëren van allerlei soorten video content om o.a. op websites te plaatsen, in presentaties te verwerken, tijdens evenementen uit te zenden etc. Vanaf de eerste brainstorm sessie tot aan de Final versie zetten HardZout alles op alles met als enige doel: een tevreden lach op het gezicht van de opdrachtgever. NWO organiseert jaarlijks met de Vereniging van Wetenschapsjournalisten in Nederland (VWN) en de Nederlandse Vereniging van Journalisten (NVJ) het evenement Bessensap: www.nwo.nl/bessensap. Voor Bessensap 2013 vroegen wij onderzoekers om hun filmpitch in te zenden. De vijf populairste filmideeën werden in contact gebracht met een filmmaker/animator en samen maken zij een filmpje/animatie van vijf minuten.
