'Battle Of Britain Day' Commemoration Flypasts

submitted by uklmhb on 03/04/16 1

September 15th 1940 is widely known as 'Battle Of Britain Day', when in excess of 60 aircraft were lost over the skies of Southern England. To commemorate the 75th Anniversary of this date, some 40+ fighters comprising of Spitfires and Hurricanes and one Bristol Blenheim assembled at Goodwood in the biggest gathering of such aircraft since WWII. They took to the skies at 2pm in six waves, four minutes apart intending to fly over many locations affected back in 1940. Three of these waves landed at Duxford in Cambrideshire as seen in this video....Lest We Forget!
