Scilly Isles, Cornwall. Various shots of coast and lighthouse off Land's End. Aerial shots of sea and Scilly Isles from inside an aeroplane. Various shots of Hugh Town, St. Mary's and harbour. Fishermen are seen working on their boats. Four men are repairing a house for the summer tourist season. C/U of a car number plate - on the island plates show only the owners phone number. Two boys are seen playing among rock pools on the beach. C/U of a coast guard signalling out to sea with a lamp. A couple and an old man travel by dinghy to isle of Tresco. M/S of people playing croquet near the beach. M/S of palm tree. A man drives a luggage cart to meet the tourists at the harbour. C/U of sign in a window - 'English Spoken Here'. A postman comes out of the post office carrying a sack. M/S of the museum of the sea - a shed filled with ship's figureheads, Mrs. Dorien-Smith is seen painting one. C/U of Commander Dorien-Smith, museum owner, looking at a map with a girl. Various shots of daffodils. The flowers are picked, gathered in bunches and placed on a trailer. A tractor pulls the trailer away. The daffs are packed in a box by Jane Wyllie to be exported to the mainland. The boxes are then seen being loaded into a by-plane. The plane takes off. Aerial shots of islands. Please note some of the commentary is incorrect - the lighthouse is not at Lizard and the town's name is not 'St. Hughes' but Hugh Town, St. Mary's.
