Exeter is a historic city in the South of Devon. It is the county-town of Devon, and relies upon the tourism generated from holiday-makers to the South West. Exeter is home to a gothic style cathedral, and other such monuments. Exeter is also home to some of the best schools in the country, and the prestigious Exeter University, which attracts thousands of students from around the world. Also, Exeter was built on the river Exe (which runs through the city), and at one point, over 1000 years ago, Exeter was the Roman capital city on England! .
