(For Best Viewing watch in HD) Dittisham is one of the most attractive villages that you'll come across in South Devon. This un-spoilt and exceptionally beautiful riverside settlement on the Dart, a local pub caters admirably for a predominantly tourist community, but for more than that you will need the ferry to Dartmouth (30 minutes either way). It's a very special place. Not only is Dittisham an ideal spot for a truly relaxing break but it is also a fantastic day trip location. Pack up the kids with a bucket and crabbing line and towards the pontoon for the ideal crabbing hotspot. Top tip: Crabs love bacon, so attached some small pieces to your hook and see how many you can catch! Make sure you return the crabs at the end of the day.
