Candlelit Dartmouth - Father Christmas arrives by boat for the start of the Victorian theme Dartmouth Christmas festivities. The two days see a street market with stalls selling all manner of wares, live music, and the local shops providing late shopping. It has a lovely family atmosphere, culminating in a street lantern parade on the Saturday evening. There are plenty of places to stay in Dartmouth, bed & breakfast or self catering, many offering great off-season weekend deals and excellent for money. Well worth making time to take a short break in South Devon this time of year.
