Welcome to my journey around the UK using the classic transport method, the steam engine. I am taking you on some of the country's most cherished and well loved railways from Somerset to Scotland. This week's railway is the West Somerset Railway which starts off in the bustling coastal town of Minehead, through the serenity of the Somerset Moores before arriving at the peaceful village of Bishops Lydeard. The journey, although long, is amazing and will leave you wanting more once it reaches its end. There are even things to do on your journey such as visit one of the many museums at various stops, have a game of crazy golf or take advantage of the National Trust's very own Dunster Castle Express which runs on select days.
