York is a walled city, situated at the confluence of the Rivers Ouse and Foss in North Yorkshire, England. The city has a rich heritage and has provided the backdrop to major political events throughout much of its two millennia of existence. Some views around the City of York on an extremely busy Saturday afternoon in Summer 2012. It was busy not only to tourists, but also due to York Races being on. Due to this, I stayed away from the main tourist 'hot spots' for this video. This video features footage at York Railway station, including the steam locomotive The Scots Guardsman hauling the Yorkshire Coast Express, it then features views of and from The Wheel of York, views include York Minster. The city Walls near the Elvet Bridge are the next item to be featured, along with the Elvet Bridge and the River Ouse. Museum Gardens are then featured along with exterior shots of the Yorkshire Museum and the temporary theatre for the York Mystery Plays, which are within the ruins of St. Mary's Abbey. St. Olave's Church and Maygate are the next featured areas, and finally the video finishes along Dame Judi Dench Walk by the River Ouse.
