A short tourism video about Nuneaton in Warwickshire. Nuneaton is a delightful little town, best known as the home of the author George Eliot. Situated on the fringe of the Warwickshire coalfields, the main industries have been ribbon weaving and engineering in addition to mining. The town grew rapidly following the Industrial Revolution due to its large textile industry. The town centre has undergone a major refurbishment and now houses the Ropewalk Shopping Centre, which offers and exciting and vibrant range of new shops and services, and complements the good shops already present within the town centre. See www.warwickshire.gov.uk/towns for more details.
