Winter - Peak District, Derbyshire, England

submitted by uklmhb on 03/03/16 1

The White Peak, in our recent snowfall. I chose this piece of music because it suggests Winter's slow and still grip on life, and yet the hope of Spring. The frigid rooks on the rural power lines are suggestive of a music manuscript (but the tune sounds unpromising). The closing pic I took this morning, in moonlight at 5 am (2 sec/ 3600 ISO/ f6.3) For more videos and other information about the Peak District please visit Let's Stay Peak District at www.peakdistrict-nationalpark.com Music: Steve Baker and Carmen Daye: "For Whom the Bell Tolls" (No recording seems to be available for purchase, otherwise I would have...)
