Washington Week in Milwaukee: Debate Analysis from the Site of the Democratic Debate

submitted by james on 02/26/16 1

Just 24 hours after Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders squared off in their sixth debate, we examine the state of the 2016 presidential campaign from the site of the PBS NewsHour debate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After a double-digit loss in New Hampshire, the former secretary of state is aiming to blunt Sanders' momentum and stake claim to the first southern state primary in South Carolina on February 27. On the Republican side, polls show Donald Trump continues to dominate the narrowing GOP field after a decisive victory in New Hampshire. Ohio Gov. John Kasich's come-from-behind second place finish in the Granite State has scrambled the race for the Republican nomination.
