A video of our trip to Landudno back in 2008. You can also see many other videos on my Youtube Channel at www.youtube.com/user/ww2dynamite/videos Llandudno is a seaside resort situated on the north coast of Conwy County, North Wales. It's location close to the Snowdonia National Park makes it ideal for touring Snowdonia and North Wales. There is an abundance of accommodation from luxury hotels to smaller but excellent value for money bed and breakfasts. Holiday cottages and apartments are also available, either within the town or close by in picturesque villages. Known as the Queen of the Welsh resorts Llandudno is a charming Victorian seaside resort located in a beautiful setting on the Creuddyn Peninsula between the two limestone headlands of the Great Orme and the Little Orme. Take a ride on the unique Victorian Tramway to the top of the Great Orme and visit the Great Orme Country Park, try Dry Slope Skiing, and tobogganing, play a round of Golf, or take an invigorating stroll along the Victorian Pier. You could also shop till you drop in the many high-street stores. If you prefer the more traditional seaside resort then Llandudno has it all. Two beautiful beaches, the North Shore and the West Shore. Both in picturesque locations. Professor Codman's original Punch and Judy is in the prime position on the promenade close to the Pier. Enjoy all the fun of the fair on the Pier, or join the anglers and try fishing for Bass from the end of the pier. Local attractions include Alice in Wonderland, Boat Trips around the Bay or fishing trips further out to sea, the North Wales Theatre, Llandudno Museum, Llandudno Golf Club, the world renowned Bronze Age Mines on the Great Orme. For the more energetic, there are many walks leading from the town to the surrounding countryside, and should you wish to take the car you can be in the heart of Snowdonia National Park within 30 minutes. Or leave the car and take to the hills on the Conwy Valley Railway. Catch the train at Llandudno railway station then sit back and enjoy the fantastic views of the Conwy Valley on a journey through the heart of Snowdonia via Betws y Coed and Dolwyddelan, in the Lledr Valley, to Blaenau Ffestiniog and the world famous Slate Caverns.
