I captured some rolling footage during a long weekend break in Anglesey. We went to visit Moelfre, a lovely place renowned for its mackerel fishing and RNLI services. After getting off the bus and walking through the serene streets, with quaint eateries and pub to boot, we made our way up to the coastal path where you will find the statue of RNLI coxswain Dic Evans, whom in 1959, led his rescue to team to save the crew of the ship The Hindlea. Many lives were saved. 100 years earlier the ship The Royal Charter was wrecked off Moelfre, breaking into two and sinking. Sadly out of 452 people only 41 survived. Along the coastal path i was lucky enough to pick up on this film, a Rock Pipit, out catching moths to feed its young. Also i captured another mysterious bird which i have been unable to identify. Keep an eye out for the Seal we were very lucky to have seen him swimming around close to shore and unperturbed by the fishermen. If you enjoy local history, nature rambles and most of all tranquility, this is a great place to come. My bit of film does not begin to do justice to it but all the same, i hope you will find it relaxing.
