Join us on a visit to this quaint, old village market town, there are so many preserved old houses & buildings. Well worth seeking out and making time for is Hungerford Arcade; an antiques "Aladdin's cave" of treasures housed in a building full of genuine charm & character (seek out Rafters Cafe based at the very top of the building). Also when you look at the older buildings you will notice the upper top floor windows are smaller than the lower level windows - the rooms with smaller windows were usually the servants accommodation. Videos and photos recorded on Friday 16th & Saturday 17th May 2014 (Footnote: On Wednesday 19 August 1987, an unemployed man; Michael Robert Ryan went crazy and randomly killed sixteen people, including his own mother, the incident is known as "The Hungerford Massacre", the reasons for the killing spree was never ascertained & perhaps will never be known because Michael Ryan committed suicide after his rampage.
