Excel Data to Access Table

submitted by Ching Yang on 02/23/16 1

This tutorial covers the steps in importing an Excel 2010 worksheet into an Access 2010 table. It also covers creating a formula that combines the first and last name field separated with an underscore that is all upper case and ends with and exclamation point. This creates the Primary Key field. Formula looks like this =UPPER(CONCATENATE(B2,"_",A2,"!")) B2 is lastname, A2 is firstname. Also, I cover the steps in cleaning up the phone number field with some quick and easy steps. Great time savers.
