I take a look at 3 cool AR apps for iOS including: Mclaren P1, ARDefender, and ARBasketball. Augmented reality in my opinion is a really cool technology that creates a virtual reality out of real life images. This technology is under development even as we speak with things such as project google glasses and many others.
